Neon Moose’s 7 benefits to blogging
To blog or not to blog? Well the short answer is BLOG. Now here’s the long answer as to why blogging is beneficial for your business:
1. Establish your biz as an ‘industry leader’
Neon Moose is known for social media, marketing, PR and copywriting. So it’s only fitting that I blog about these subjects, like ‘top 10 digital marketing gems’ or ‘find your USP’. I might be a small business but I build trust and clout within my industry by providing valuable, expert information in my blog posts.
2. Better SEO
Search engines [like Google etc] loooove fresh content – like blog posts! Blogging gives search engines new content to index PLUS you create opportunities to punch in your keywords to increase your visibility on search engine results pages (SERPS).
3. Collect Emails
Fact - email is still the most reliable way to communicate online. Get them to sign up to your website / blog posts and every time you blog it automatically spits out this weeks/months blog post… straight to their inbox – with no algorithms ala social media.
4. Help Others
Every good blog helps its readers. Renew Adelaide could blog about everything and anything on ‘helping small businesses’ from posts like the top 3 best accounting programs [xero, quickbooks, MYOB] to social media or marketing blog posts to property help like how to apply for a Renew Adelaide property, etc. The aim of a blog is to educate, help, inspire.
5. Create opportunities for sharing
Every blog post is an opportunity for your audience to share your blog with others. Whether they tweet it or email it to others, it’s free marketing and it further validates your business as a credible business!
6. Great content
Blogging is great content for your own social media channels! From a blog, you can take important bits of info and feed that to your social media followers in tid bits, luring them over to your blog. Because one of the aims of social media is to get them off your socials and on to your website where the sales happen!
7. Relationships
Blogging allows you to connect with your website visitors. By asking readers questions + allowing comments @ the end of a blog post, it opens up the door for discussion. This is if you decide to turn on the comments feature!
